He began his legal career the following year as a Deputy Public Prosecutor (the title for a prosecuting officer in Malaysia) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In 1985, he was promoted to Senior Federal Counsel for Sabah.<br \/><br \/>In January 1994, Tan Sri Abdul Gani moved to the Attorney General&#8217;s Chambers in Kuala Lumpur. Thereafter, he continued to pursue his legal career by chambering in Adnan Sundra &amp; Low (\u201cASL\u201d), the top banking and finance\/ capital market law firm in Malaysia. He was subsequently called to the Malaysian Bar in 2015 and was employed by ASL as a legal assistant. <br \/><br \/>He is well conversant and familiar with the structuring, documenting, executing and advising on a comprehensive range of transactions and products, both in Ringgit and foreign currencies, including corporate debt issuances, Malaysian law.<br \/><br \/>He returned to Pacific Trustees Berhad in 2017 as a Manager, in the Managing Directors\u2019 office whereby he is involved with the day to day operations of the Company which covers Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Interest Scheme, Private Debt Securities (PDS), Collective Investment Scheme including for Wholesale Funds, Custodian, Escrow Services including for RMO P2P Finance, Robo Advisor and Digital Crypto Exchange and also the Private Trust Division in the Company.
